The CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles (Spring) Show had its debut show was a great way to wrap up April and warm up for Infocomm. Since this was the show’s first year, the only thing we knew for sure was that it was going to be small. It turned out to be a great opportunity for displaying our current line of seating and speaker products from SolaraHome to a seriously interested crowd of no-nonsense custom installers/retailers. Elite Screens got to show off our new mount and screen products as well as answer a whole lot of questions about its new custom install division.

Products Update

New In-Stock, the Elite Spectrum Series, is an all-application entry level electric screen for the .com retail market. Each unit comes fully assembled and ready to plug & play. Features include an IR Remote Control, built-in Low Voltage Controller/Receiver and a 12V trigger port. The Spectrum Series comes in screen sizes from 84” to 125” in either a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. Prices are as low as $199 MSRP makes it a good replacement for the low-tech manually operated screens.

New Prime Vision Series Screens
The new Dream Window, Fixed Frame Screen from Elite Prime Vision Customers only, has a 3.5” Wide Black Velvet Frame, and is designed for easy assembly/installation in minutes. Another fixed frame product is the 2.35:1 (Cinemascope) format EZ Frame Screen that has the same features with the exception of its 2.36 inch frame width. Screen surfaces come in your choice of; CineWhite (1.1 gain white), CineGray (0.9 gain gray) and Power Gain Material (1.8 gain white) in either plain or perforated acoustic material. Select from our various sizes at 84” to 150” measurements that are in stock and ready to ship the same day.

The Next Generation of Home Series Screens for the Retail Market: With all new features, the Home2 provides even more value to our well-established premium grade screen. The Home2 comes with a new built-in 12V trigger connection for synchronized operation with your projector. The moisture-resistant aluminum casing has sliding L brackets for easy alignment with structure studs for wall or ceiling installations. We are now adding an extra RF remote to complement the existing IR control along with the addition of a Built-In Low Voltage Controller/Receiver. The fiberglass-backed screen material makes the screen material has always been popular for its exceptional flatness but now we provide a version in acoustic material. Models with an extra black top drop up to 30” are in stock. Ask about our Elite Prime Vision package with Universal Learning Remote and extended warranty.

Mounts at Amazingly Low Prices
As of April 2007, Elite Screens has been promoting a major price drop to promote their entire line of projector and display mounts. All mounts are designed and pre-tested with the highest emphasis on quality for the ProAV channel. New Elite Cantilever Mounts such as the EA310, 400 and 510 are in stock and included in this limited time promotion. Requests for demo / testing units are welcome.

Seating Is Moving Faster Than We Expected
Demand has completely outpaced our most optimistic sales predictions. The result is a large shipment of seating to relieve the overwhelming response from our Custom Install sales channel. Tradeshow Update:
CEDIA Spring was small but it is on our “must do again” list for next year. I have little doubt in its potential to be a great venue for the CE crowd out here in the west. The next show on our list is Infocomm in California. This will be on June 19-21, 2007 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California’s Walt Disney resort. This will be on our home turf so we plan to turn out in force for all of our dealers and CE retailers alike. Below are some of our newest items that will be featured at the Infocomm show..
A. In-Ceiling Trim Kits for motorized ceiling screen installations. This new product is a fantastic alternative for the DIY or custom installer to put a neat and easily manageable cover on your recesses ceiling installations.
B. X-Mask Auto-Masking Fixed Screen Kit – Turn your Elite 4:3 format Fixed Frame Screen into any aspect ratio required for your projection needs. This kit will convert your 4:3 Fixed Frame screen into a 16:9, 1.85:1 and 2.35:1 aspect ratio with the touch of a button.
C. Acoustic Screen Material: Everyone has been asking us to do this for a long time so here it is. Elite Screens has been well known in its quality and competitive pricing and we are now bringing you this long-awaited product with a great price point. We will show off 2 models with this acoustic material ( Fixed Frame and Tension Electric Screen) during the Infocomm show.
D. Speaker: SolaraSound will also show off premium internal wall and ceiling speakers, with our new product line. We are so confident that you will be impressed with the quality; we are offering a 5 year warranty to our sales channels just to prove its incredible quality.
